Wi-Fi + EHS - two Knesset members get involved

Wi-Fi + EHS - two Knesset members get involved

#Knesset member Yoel Hasson, asked the Health Minister:

With the increased use of 4G cell phones and wireless internet that emit radiation, there is an increase in EHS disease,
the disease of intolerating electromagnetic radiation.

I would like to ask:

1) Does your ministry/health system recognize this problem?  recognizes patients who suffer from this disease?
2) How does the ministry prepare itself in order to deal with this disease?
3) Does the Health Ministry have standards in order to prevent catching of this disease?

# Knesset member Yoel Hasson wrote to Knesset member Einat Wilf, chairwomen of the Education, Culture and Sport committee of the Knesset, in request to have a meeting of her committee regarding the intention of the Education Minister to connect schools to Wi-Fi.  He wrote, that this decision "can have influence on pupils health, in view of the exposure to radiation emitted from the same wireless network and that may cause, beyond the known diseases also EHS disease, which is a disease from cellular radiation and also can harm the school discipline and encourage pupils to make use of cell phones during the class not for the purpose of learning.

There is no place to disrespect the dangers from wireless radiation that will be emitted from the same wireless network.

I would emphasize, that there is an Education Ministry executive circular letter that is not dependent on any cell phone generation, that teachs on preventive precuation, that is to take when children use cell phone. This circular emphasizes that there are health consequences from the emitted electromagnetic radiation, and also says that in May 2011 the WHO defined the electromagnetic radiation emitted from cell phones as possibly carcinogenic. More it was said in the circular, that the Health Ministry adopted the preventive precautionary principle in emphasizing the children and youth population.

This circular was not born in one day, just like that, but because children and youth are in the stages of development and growth, a period of time in which the immune system is weak and developing,  a period of time when the division of cells is faster and can be badly influenced by the radiation.  That is why it is not clear to me, how while one hand of the Education Ministry is looking to take preventive precuation regarding cell phones, the other hand is looking to put Wi-Fi technologies in order to bring progress and new and more advanced learning methods to the education world.

I would note that both the communication from cell phones and Wi-Fi from the wireless internet network - both technologies develop electromagnetic fields and both are irradiating.

I would remind, that in different countries the Wi-Fi activation was banned: in France any form of wireless communication was banned in school space, and in Canada- wireless communication that was already put - was removed later.

In addition, in view of the fact that I do not understand why the wired internet connection does not satisfy the needs of schools I would ask to have a discussion in the Education, Culture and Sport committee which you chair with all the responsible
from the Eucation Mnistry and the Health Mnistry in order to examine the reasonableness of the decision and the dangers from it
to pupils health.

#Knesset member Yoel Hasson wrote also to Knesset member Haim Katz, chairman of the Labor, Welfare and Health committee of the Knesset to request a discussion of his commitee about the lack of recognition of the health system in EHS, a disease from cellular/wireless communication. He wrote:

During the last years, with the increase of distribution of wireless internet that emits radiation, and the increased use of cell phones, various citizens caught the disease of  EHS, a disease which is caused by the wireless/cellular radiation.

Lately the issue was raised to the public agenda as also articles on this issue, that describe the suffering of the patients of this disease, which is new in view of the development of the technology and its effects on the health of many of us.

Despite the suffering of  these patients, it was brought to my attention that the health system and the Health Ministry do not recognize this disease and actually there is total ignoring both from the disease and from the patients.

In view of the above, and in view of the importance of this matter and the need to treat it before it will, God forbid, cause lossed in human lives, I approach to you in request to have a discussion in your committee on this important matter.

In my office there was lately accumulating information that can help and give futher info about this disease, I would be happy to give you this info and also to the professionals in your committee.

# Knesset member Ruchama Avraham, sent a letter to the Education Minister. She wrote:

A complaint was received in my office regarding the use of wireless networks in schools. From the complaint, it arises that there may be harm to pupils health, as a result of increased exposure to radiation that is emitted from the routers.

I do not have the tools in order to check the contents of  the complaint, so I would ask that you relate and treat it.
