Discussing mobile phone safety with young people

The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend that children and young people under the age of 16 years use mobile phones for essential purposes only. But many young people use their mobile or smart phones throughout the day and keep them switched on close to their bodies during the night. Simple steps to reduce exposure to the electromagnetic fields emitted from wireless gadgets may help to protect long-term health. Raising awareness of wireless technology safety allows young people to make informed choices and to take responsibility for this area of their health and wellbeing.
